Vests & Firefighters
Wearing vests as a firefighter? The rules have recently changed is your fire department update?
Firefighters are required to wear vests at all times except fighting the fire or a HazMat run. What has your department done to adjust to this rule?

We have done nothing to adjust, as we were compliant long before the rule went into effect. It is one of those cases of common sense. It's a good thing, and I for one am all for it.

Our fire department purchased a compliant vest for each seating position in each vehicle. Prior to the the rule we had purchased EMS jackets for all of our EMS personal along with the department officers which were compliant.
